Stitch Guide

Let me guess — you bought one of my kits, or maybe you got one as a gift (lucky you!), and you lost the instructions. Or perhaps you took one of my embroidery classes and need a refresher. Well, I've got you. Here are the instructions to the stitches found in my embroidery kits. If you need more help, feel free to contact me!

Back Stitch

The backstitch is one of the most common stitches in embroidery. From the back of the fabric, the needle goes up through B and down through A. Up through C and down through B. Up through D and down through C. Up through E and down through D. Each stitch hops “back” one before moving forward. Hence the name “backstitch”.

The Whipped Back Stitch
